ADA accessibility

Designed for everyone. Built for every business.

Make your website accessible to more people.

It should be part of every website from the beginning—and continue improving long after launch.

That’s why accessibility is built into the Pipeline™ Framework. Through ongoing reviews, document remediation, and practical recommendations, we help your website become more usable, more inclusive, and more prepared for what’s next.

Because accessibility isn’t a destination.

Website accessibility is another wave worth catching.

Our approach to ADA accessibility.

Accessibility starts with how a website is built—not with a widget.

At One Eleven, we focus on creating websites that are usable from the ground up. That means writing clean, semantic code, maintaining logical heading structures, providing descriptive alternative text for images, ensuring sufficient color contrast, and supporting keyboard navigation wherever possible. Good accessibility begins with good development.

Accessibility widgets can provide visitors with helpful tools like text resizing, contrast adjustments, and reading assistance. While these features can improve the user experience for some visitors, they don’t replace an accessible website. We view them as a supplement—not a substitute—for thoughtful design and development.

We also encourage building content directly into your website whenever possible instead of relying on downloadable PDFs. Web pages are generally easier to navigate with assistive technologies, perform better in search engines, are simpler to update, and create a more consistent experience for every visitor. When PDFs are necessary, we can help review them for accessibility as well.

As new pages, images, forms, and features are added, we continue reviewing and improving your website through the Pipeline™ Framework—helping accessibility grow alongside your business instead of becoming a one-time checklist.

Accessibility starts with how a website is built—not with a widget.

Accessibility questions?

Every website is different. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often about website accessibility.

Contact Support

Do I need an accessibility widget?

Not necessarily. Accessibility widgets can provide helpful tools like text resizing, color adjustments, and reading assistance for some visitors, but they don’t make a website accessible on their own.

We believe accessibility starts with thoughtful design, clean code, semantic HTML, descriptive alternative text, keyboard navigation, and ongoing improvements.

When appropriate, widgets can complement an accessible website—but they should never replace one.

Does ADA compliance apply to my business?

For most businesses, the answer is yes.

Every business should consider website accessibility, regardless of its size or industry. While legal obligations vary depending on factors such as your business, customers, and how your website is used, providing an accessible website helps ensure more people can access your products, services, and information.

For most businesses, accessibility is simply good business. It creates a better experience for all visitors, improves usability, supports search engine optimization, and demonstrates your commitment to serving every customer. Rather than waiting until accessibility becomes a concern, we recommend building it into your website from the start and continuing to improve it as your website evolves.

How often should accessibility be reviewed?

Accessibility isn’t something you check off once and forget. As your website grows, new pages, images, forms, PDFs, and third-party tools can introduce new accessibility issues.

That’s why our Surfrider and Mavericks website management plans include scheduled accessibility reviews—to help your website stay accessible as it evolves.

Can you improve an existing website?

Yes. Whether we built your website or not, we can evaluate its current accessibility, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend practical changes. Depending on the condition of the website, we may improve the existing site or recommend rebuilding specific sections to create a better experience for every visitor.

Are you ready to catch the next wave?

Accessibility reviews are included with our Surfrider and Mavericks plans, helping your website remain accessible as new content, technology, and standards evolve.

Let’s talk about your goals, your next wave, and how we can help you get there.
